We tend to know what we are talking about, or?

When it comes to normal flashlights, we share lots of knowledge amongst our team members. But, when it comes to UV-C flashlights, we can only go off the information sellers and manufacturers provide. The effects of UV-C light is very hard to measure by the average Joe without special equipment. So the effect of these flashlights on bacteria or viruses is not tested and unknown.

They can do harm without you even noticing it. Therefore, never ever point it to parts of your body, skin, eyes or other living beings. You need proper protection when using these lights and they should be used by professionals only.

If you don’t know what UVC flashlights can do to you, don’t buy them!

Therefore, we can only recommend them to professionals with proper protection who know what these are capable of. These are not the average around-the-house UV flashlights you put on your bedside table. None of the flashlight manufacturers’ claims are tested by us or any professional laboratory. Also, these lights are not comparable to regular UV flashlights. UV-A and UV-B light is a totally different kind of breed.

If you want to learn more about UV-C light, please read this article from UVresource.com, this article from the WHO, or even this EPA Manuscript.

Again, these flashlights should only be used by professionals with adequate protection.
